2 Injured in Crash on Highway 154 in Santa Barbara County
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (May 31, 2024) — Two people were badly hurt Thursday night in a Chumash Casino Resort bus crash on Highway 154 near Stagecoach Road in the Santa Ynez Valley.
The bus and a pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances at around 11:25 p.m. on May 31st, according to Noozhawk and the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Police and firefighters responded to crash scene and located the pickup truck driver with moderate injuries and a woman from the bus with undisclosed injuries.
Paramedics transported both people by ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
Authorities closed down Highway 154 in both directions for roughly 90 minutes to conduct an investigation. The California Highway Patrol continues to work on the case.
