Woman Killed in Moreno Valley Crash
MORENO VALLEY (April 11, 2019) – Citlalli Santana, 20, of Moreno Valley, has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed Thursday in collision on the westbound 60 Freeway at the Indian Street overpass.
The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner identified the woman on their website.
The collision took place about 10:28 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver of a big rig truck swerved to avoid hitting the woman who was down in traffic lanes. It’s unknown if that truck struck her or if she was already down on the freeway.
Cal Fire Riverside Fire Department responded and located the woman on the right shoulder of the freeway, just east of Pigeon Pass Road. Unfortunately, Santana died of her injuries at the scene of the crash.
It’s unknown whether or not the motorist who struck the woman stopped.
The collision remains under investigation by the CHP’s Riverside station.
