1 Dead, 2 Injured in Citrus Heights Crash on Greenback Lane Tuesday
CITRUS HEIGHTS (October 9, 2018) – A fatal traffic collision took place along Greenback Lane on Tuesday evening, according to The Sacramento Bee and FOX 40 News.
The accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. near San Juan Avenue.
As per the reports, Citrus Heights police said for an unknown reason three vehicles collided on Greenback Lane.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the area and confirmed that one person was killed following the crash. The victim, described as a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
At least two people sustained minor injuries upon impact. The names of the deceased and injured parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, Greenback Lane was forced to shut down between San Juan and Mariposa avenues for several hours as a result of the wreck. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
