1 Killed in Citrus Heights Crash on Birdcage Street Monday
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (June 21, 2021) – One was killed after a car crash on Birdcage Street in Citrus Heights.
According to an article published by the CBS Sacramento, the tragic accident took place on Monday. It happened between Sun Hill Drive and Chancery Court.
The incident happened when a vehicle was going north on Birdcage Street in Citrus Heights. The California Highway Patrol said at the same time, another car was traveling south.

For an unknown reason, the southbound driver turned in front of the other vehicle. In the process, the northbound motorist swerved off the road and then slammed into a tree head-on.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the person who hit the tree dead at the scene. The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver stayed at the site and cooperated with the officers. Officials forced a portion of Birdcage Street to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Citrus Heights crash is still under investigation.
