Man, 55, Hit and Injured by Vehicle on Poplar Street Thursday
City Heights, CA (May 6, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a traffic accident on Poplar Street Thursday evening, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2021 Toyota Corolla struck a male party in the northbound side of Poplar Street. Officials said the vehicle hit the man from behind.

Shortly after 9:25 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location and rendered aid to the injured pedestrian. Due to the severity of their condition, paramedics transported the patient to a hospital for treatment. Our sources mentioned the patient sustained head wounds and foot injuries as a result of the collision. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed in the area the whole evening to investigate several factors surrounding the pedestrian accident in City Heights.
