Motorcyclist Killed in Claremont Crash on 210 Freeway at Baseline Road

CLAREMONT, CA (November 9, 2021) – A crash killed a motorcyclist on the 210 Freeway and Baseline Road in Claremont.

According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:57 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol said the motorcycle rider and two other vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the Claremont area. The three crashed on the eastbound 210 Freeway at the East Baseline Road off-ramp.

Motorcycle, Cars Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the motorcyclist lying unresponsive on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim at the scene. The name of the deceased rider has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the wreck. They described the two cars as a BMW X5 and a Toyota Corolla.

Officers forced the eastbound 210 Freeway at Baseline to shut down for hours after the incident. The cause of the fatal Claremont crash is still under investigation.
