1 Injured in Claremont Hit-and-Run Crash on Eastbound 10 Freeway
CLAREMONT, CA (July 16, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 10 Freeway in Claremont.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place early Friday. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at about 1:49 a.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Claremont. They crashed on the eastbound 10 Freeway, just east of Indian Hill Boulevard.
2 Vehicles Collide Near Indian Hill
The incident log described the cars involved as a blue Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck and a white colored vehicle. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained upon impact.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down following the wreck. The Claremont hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
