1 Hospitalized After Collision on Foothill (210) Freeway Wednesday
Claremont, CA (October 8, 2021) – On October 6, a suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 210 at the Towne Avenue offramp.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two or more vehicles collided in the westbound side of I-210, also known as Foothill Freeway. According to the CHP dispatch, the force from the impact caused at least one car to roll down the hillside. Officials said the car landed on its roof.
Shortly after 4:37 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Paramedics found one person with injuries. An ambulance later transported the patient to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. Additional details on the wreck have not been discussed thus far.

Officials later mentioned one driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victims. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives reportedly stayed at the scene the whole afternoon to determine several factors surrounding the accident. Further investigation on the hit-and-run crash in Claremont is ongoing.
