Deadly Early Morning Head-on Collision
CLARKSBURG (April 5, 2016)- According to KCRA.com, a deadly head-on collision was reported Tuesday morning along South River Road in Yolo County.
The fatal incident which took place at roughly 7:30 a.m. involved a Honda Accord and a pickup truck, per KCRA.com.
Per an update provided by the Sacramento Bee, the driver of a Honda Civic identified as John Her, 34, collided head-on with a motorist inside a Chevy pickup truck. The two vehicles crashed at about 45 mph.
Her suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene while at least one motorist inside the Chevy was hospitalized with moderate to serious injuries.
Directions of traffic both ways remained closed off and are expected to be shut down for quite some time while authorities investigate the scene.
