Truck, SUV Collide at Roundabout in Clearlake Oaks
CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. (Dec. 24, 2024) — A semi-truck and SUV were involved in a fatal crash Tuesday at state Route Highway 53, just a quarter mile south of state Route 20 in Clearlake Oaks.
The two-vehicle traffic accident occurred on state Route 50 at 6:26 a.m. on Dec. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers collided due to unknown circumstances and the semi-truck pulled over. The SUV sustained major side damage and was on its wheels, but no one exited the vehicle. Someone called 911 for help and police and paramedics responded.
First responders confirmed at least one person dead at the scene, but there were no further details.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Highway 53 in Clearlake Oaks.
