Passenger Dead, Driver Injured in Collision on SR-20
Mendocino County, CA (April 6, 2022) – Cleotilde Rodriguez Delgado, a 49-year-old woman, died following a traffic crash that occurred on Highway 20.
On March 28, Delgado was a passenger in a Mini Cooper traveling on the highway in Mendocino City. The Press Democrat News reported the vehicle spun out on the rain-soaked roadway Monday afternoon. Officials said the Mini Cooper collided with two other cars in the area near Potter Valley Road.
Emergency crews responded to the crash site shortly after 5:30 p.m. Medical personnel immediately rendered aid to both the driver, and passenger. Despite life-saving measures, Cleotilde Rodriguez Delgado sadly succumbed to her injuries and died.
Meanwhile, the man driving the Mini Cooper reportedly sustained moderate injuries as a result of the wreck. The identity of the motorist, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Investigators handling the case continue to determine several unclear factors surrounding the deadly car accident on Highway 20 in Mendocino County.
