Traffic Collision on Southbound US-101 Sends One to Hospital
CLOVERDALE, CA (June 3, 2025) — A two-vehicle car accident on southbound U.S. Highway 101, just north of the State Route 128 off ramp in Cloverdale, resulted in one person being transported to the hospital early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. on June 3rd, when a blue Honda Civic and a white Volkswagen Jetta collided, blocking the slow lane near the SR-128 junction. Initial reports indicated that the parties involved appeared injured, prompting an emergency response.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local fire units arrived at the scene shortly after 7:00 a.m. Emergency medical services evaluated the occupants, and one individual was transported to Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center with injuries that were described as moderate but not life-threatening.
The number two lane was cleared around 7:13 a.m., and a tow truck was called to remove the Honda Civic from the scene. Traffic was impacted for a short period during the morning commute, but normal flow resumed shortly after the scene was cleared.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved, and the cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the collision is encouraged to contact the California Highway Patrol’s Santa Rosa office.
