Major Injury Motorcycle Crash on US 101 in Cloverdale
CLOVERDALE, Calif. (Sept. 5, 2024) — A major injury Cloverdale motorcycle accident happened Thursday morning on Redwood Highway 101 near Geysers Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 10:55 a.m. on Sept. 5th, just north of Russian River Bridge, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee and motorcycle rider collided on Redwood Highway due to unknown circumstances.
The Jeep came to a stop in the northbound No. 1 lane and the bike wound up on the right northbound shoulder of US 101, the report said. The motorcycle rider was ejected from the bike and found laying in the middle of the roadway.
Cal Fire responded with paramedics to help the injured motorcyclist and transport the person to a hospital.
A tow truck removed the damaged Jeep from the roadway.
All traffic lanes in both directions were blocked due to the crash and investigation into liability for the motorcycle accident on Highway 101 in Cloverdale.
