CLOVIS, Calif. (June 8, 2018) — A bicyclist was hospitalized Thursday night following a collision with a vehicle at Clovis and Barstow avenues, according to the Clovis Police Department.
The incident was reported to police just before 8 p.m. The caller told police a bicycle rider was injured in a crash at the intersection and required medical help. Paramedics responded to transport the victim to a hospital, but there were no further details about their condition. The driver stopped and cooperated with the police investigation.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Police are investigating this collision and will determine fault. At this time, it does not appear that drugs and or alcohol were factors, police said. We do not know the circumstances that led to the crash, but as police piece together evidence and witness statements they will come to a conclusion about who is responsible.
