1 Injured in Clovis Hit-and-Run Crash at Temperance and Barstow Avenues
CLOVIS, CA (February 23, 2021) – One was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Temperance and Barstow avenues in Clovis.
According to an article published by the FOX 26 News, the accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. The incident began when a BMW was traveling at a high rate of speed on Temperance Avenue in Clovis.
Police attempted to pull over the BMW but the speeding driver continued and ran at least one red light. Officers then stopped the pursuit due to the traffic.
Speeding Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car in Clovis
After some time, the BMW slammed into another vehicle at the intersection of Temperance and Barstow avenues. The suspect then jumped out of his car and hopped fences into backyards in the neighborhood.
Paramedics responded to the scene and provided treatment to the victim motorist for the minor injuries they sustained in the collision. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient.
Meanwhile, a helicopter soon located the man hiding on Purvis Street. Authorities took him into custody and transported him to the to the hospital for treatment of a dog bite.
Clovis police forced Barstow, west of Temperance, to close for a time following the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
