Motorcyclist Killed in Car Accident
CLOVIS, Calif. (August 30, 2023) — A fatal motorcycle rider died following an accident with an AT&T sedan while riding on Nees Avenue between Willow and Peach Avenues in Clovis.
UPDATE: Zein Al-Zoubi, 20, of Clovis, was identified by the Fresno County Sheriff Coroner as the motorcyclist who died in the crash on Nees Avenue.
The collision between the white motorcycle and a white sedan occurred just after 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30th, according to the Clovis Police Department.
The driver in the white sedan was heading westbound on Nees Avenue when they turned into the path of the motorcycle rider. The motorcyclist crashed into the rear passenger side door of the AT&T hybrid sedan, according to a report by Fox 26 News.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene and closed down Nees Avenue. The woman riding the motorcycle was transported to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The eastbound lanes of Nees Avenue were closed for several hours due to the investigation.
