Officer Injured in Collision at Minnewawa and Alluvial Avenue
Clovis, CA (August 2, 2022) – A Clovis police officer suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Minnewawa and Alluvial Avenue.
Tesla vs. Patrol Vehicle Crash in Clovis
According to the Fresno Bee News, the officer was driving a marked Clovis police cruiser. The deputy was heading north on Minnewawa. When the officer drove through the intersection at Alluvial, a man driving a Tesla ran a red light and crashed into the patrol vehicle.
The collision took place late Monday.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. The article published online mentioned the officer sustained injuries to his hand caused by the airbag. Personal information on the injured cop remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
