Deputy Hospitalized After Collision at Willow and Nees
Clovis, CA (October 16, 2022) – A Fresno County sheriff’s deputy suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle crash that happened at the intersection of Willow and Nees Avenue.
Multi-Vehicle Accident in Clovis
According to the Fresno Bee and Your Central Valley, two civilian motorists collided at the crossing in Clovis. Earlier reports indicated the two vehicles were both coming west down Nees when the accident took place.
The force from the impact pushed one car to careen towards the direction of a stopped patrol vehicle. Our sources mentioned the patrol vehicle sustained significant front-end damage.
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they found the deputy suffering in injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation. A short time later, the officer was released.
Authorities mentioned one driver, a 25-year-old woman, showed signs of intoxication during the investigation process. Police then detained the suspect on suspicion of driving under the influence.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the accident that occurred at Willow and Nees Avenue in Clovis.
