
Scooter Rider Badly Injured in Clovis Crash on Fowler Avenue
CLOVIS, CA (April 4, 2023) – An electric scooter rider was badly injured after a crash on Fowler Avenue in Clovis.
According to an article published by The Fresno Bee, the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the collision on April 3 shortly before 1:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a woman was riding an electric scooter northbound on a sidewalk on the southbound side of Fowler Avenue in Clovis.
At the same time, a car was exiting an apartment complex on a frontage road. For an unknown reason, the driver failed to notice the scooter rider.
Victim Hit by Car
In the process, the vehicle struck the victim who was wearing a helmet. Police said the two collided just south of Tollhouse Lane.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the woman hurt. She sustained facial injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Fowler Avenue to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Clovis scooter crash is still under investigation.
