Pedestrian, 13, Injured in Clovis Crash on 5th Street Near School
CLOVIS, CA (October 25, 2022) – A teenage pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash in front of a school on 5th Street in Clovis.
According too an article published by Your Central Valley, the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 7 a.m.
The incident happened on October 24 when a 13-year-old pedestrian was walking across 5th Street in Clovis. For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck the child.
Teen Hit by Vehicle
Police said the driver hit the teen in the crosswalk in front of the Clark Intermediate School. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the victim who sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident. Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the condition of the wounded party at this time. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the collision.
Officers forced a stretch of 5th street near the school to shut down after in incident. The cause of the Clovis pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
