Truck Hit Man Riding Bike in Coachella
COACHELLA (August 10, 2017)- According to the California Highway Patrol, an injury collision was reported Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 86 and Dillon Road.
Authorities were notified of the collision involving a pickup truck and a bicyclist at 1:18 p.m.
The bicyclist who is only being ID’ed as a male was riding through the intersection and was struck by the pickup truck.
Limited details have been provided at this time as it was confirmed the male victim was injured and transported to a hospital. His condition remains unknown at this time.
No additional information was provided regarding the status of the driver and what exactly transpired.
A forensic examination of both the vehicle and the bicycle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident.
