2 Badly Injured in Coachella Car Crash at Grapefruit Boulevard and Avenue 54
COACHELLA, CA (January 20, 2023) – Two were badly injured after a car crash at Grapefruit Boulevard and Avenue 54 in Coachella.
The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the accident early Wednesday. Officers reported the wreck on January 18 at about 2:16 a.m.
Cal Fire said the incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Coachella. The cars crashed at the intersection of Grapefruit Boulevard and Avenue 54.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon freed one trapped occupant from the wreckage. A total of two people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to hospitals for treatment of moderate injuries. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Grapefruit Boulevard and Avenue 54 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Coachella crash is still under investigation.
