Bicyclist Killed in Coachella Crash Near Tyler Street and Avenue 54
COACHELLA (May 26, 2020) – A bicyclist was killed after a traffic collision in the area of Tyler Street and Avenue 54 on Tuesday night.
According to an article published by The Desert Sun, the fatal accident took place at around 9:18 p.m. It happened near Highway 111.
The Cal Fire – Riverside County Fire Department said a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason near the intersection of Tyler Street and Avenue 54.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found the cyclist lying in the roadway as a result of the crash. They pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased individual has not been yet released pending notification of family. Meanwhile, the sheriff’s department did not mention if the driver involved stopped after the incident.
Officers temporarily blocked the roadway following the accident. The cause of the tragic collision remains under investigation.
