Motorcyclist Killed in Coachella Crash Near Avenue 52 and Cesar Chavez Street
COACHELLA, CA (April 8, 2023) – A crash killed a motorcyclist near Avenue 52 and Cesar Chavez Street in Coachella.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck on April 8 at about 9:46 p.m.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said the motorcycle rider and a car collided for an unknown reason in Coachella. The two crashed near the intersection of Avenue 52 and Cesar Chavez Street.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the motorcyclist down on the ground. The victim sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the patient dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stayed following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Coachella crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Avenue 52 and Cesar Chavez Street to shut down for a time after the accident.
