1 Injured in Coachella Hit-and-Run Crash at 52nd Avenue and Calhoun Street
COACHELLA, CA (November 16, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at 52nd Avenue and Calhoun Street in Coachella.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 5:37 p.m.
The accident happened on November 13 when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Coachella. They crashed at the intersection of 52nd Avenue and Calhoun Street.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described one of the cars involved as a small white compact car. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District.
They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.
CHP did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the driver of the compact car did not stop to help and fled eastbound on 52nd Avenue.
Officers forced the intersection of 52nd Avenue and Calhoun Street to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Coachella hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
