COACHELLA, California (January 2, 2015) – A pedestrian suffered major injuries Wednesday night when they were hit by a semi-tractor trailer truck in the 54900 block of Fillmore Street, according to a press release by the Riverside County Fire Department.
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded about 6:14 p.m. to the scene of the pedestrian accident on Fillmore Street. They transported the individual to a local hospital by ground ambulance. The pedestrian was listed in critical condition at the hospital.
Police are heading up an investigation into the crash to determine liability.
“Hopefully this person gets the care and medical treatment necessary for a full recovery,” said Attorney James Johnson.
