2 Children Airlifted After Car Accident on Interstate 10 Thursday
Coachella, CA (February 4, 2021) – Several people, including two children, suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Interstate 10 Thursday morning.
According to an article published online by the Desert Sun, a crash took place on I-10 just east of Dillon Road. Officials said the wreck involved an F-250 pickup and trailer hauling two off-road vehicles. The force from the impact caused one vehicle to rollover multiple times on the westbound lanes of the freeway.
The accident took place at approximately 6:30 a.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they found two children with injuries. Because of the condition of the kids, a helicopter was requested to transport them to an area hospital.

Authorities added two adults also sustained injuries as a result of the collision. A ground ambulance transported the adult patients to an area hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Pending confirmation, the names of the people hurt in the crash remained undisclosed.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led to the car crash in Coachella.
