2 Military Aircraft Collide Near Thermal Tuesday
Coachella Valley, CA (September 29, 2020) – Two aircrafts collided in the eastern Coachella Valley near Thermal Tuesday afternoon, the KTLA5 News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed the accident involved a Lockheed Martin KC-130 and Lockheed Martin F-35B. Our sources indicated the F-35B jet clipped the wings of the KC-130 during a mid-air refueling exercise.
The incident caused the KC-130 to make a forced landing in a field near the intersection of Avenue 59 and Polk Street. The Riverside County Department of Transportation confirmed all occupant of the KC-130 appeared unharmed after the incident.

Meanwhile, officials said the pilot of the F-35B suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The unidentified pilot managed to successfully eject during the accident. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the pilot, whose name and age remained undisclosed.
Additional details on the aircraft accident remained undisclosed. Further investigation on the plane crash in Coachella Valley is ongoing.
