Per the Fresno Bee, the collision took place at 5:10 a.m. as Parham was the passenger of a Kia Spectra driven by Cyrenthia Sanders, 23, of Chico.
For unknown reasons, Sanders allowed her vehicle to veer into the median before she lost complete control of the car and allowed it to drift across all traffic lanes off the road before it rolled over.
The vehicle ultimately came to rest in an embankment as Parham was ejected from the vehicle at some point. The 37-year-old man was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene.
Sanders was injured and transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where she is expected to recover.
California Highway Patrol officials were looking into whether nor not drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor as it remains to be known at this time.
We offer our warmest of thoughts, our prayers, and condolences to the family members of Mr. Brian Parham as they search for peace and comfort.
