Major Injury Collision on West Jayne Avenue
COALINGA, Calif. (July 11, 2024) — A major injury car accident happened in Coalinga on Thursday at West Jayne Avenue and South Butte Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:16 a.m. on July 11th, just east of the Interstate 5 Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials and paramedics responded to the scene and located a man pinned in a white Chevrolet Malibu that was roughly 30 feet off the roadway.
The vehicle had collided with another motorist due to unknown circumstances.
Paramedics responded and transported at least one person with major injuries to a hospital, but it’s unknown if others were hurt.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Coalinga accident on Jayne Avenue.
