1 Seriously Injured in Coalinga Crash on Jayne Avenue Near Butte Avenue
COALINGA, CA (November 15, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a head-on crash on Jayne Avenue near Butte Avenue in Coalinga.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Monday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:23 p.m.
According to their dispatch, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Coalinga. They crashed on Jayne Avenue near South Butte Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a silver Nissan Altima and a black pickup truck, possibly a Toyota. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the 5 Freeway.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Coalinga crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced the westbound and eastbound lanes of Jayne Avenue to shut down near Butte following the wreck.
