1 Killed in Coarsegold Car Crash on Highway 41 Near Road 417
COARSEGOLD, CA (August 28, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash on Highway 41 near Road 417 in Coarsegold.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic accident occurred on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:35 p.m.
According to CHP, three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Coarsegold. They crashed on Highway 41, just north of Road 417.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Yosemite Lakes. They confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased victim remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Officials did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the wreck.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 41 near Road 417 to shut down for hours after the collision. The cause of the fatal Coarsegold crash is still under investigation.
