3 Injured in Coarsegold Crash on Highway 41
COARSEGOLD, Calif. (Feb. 13, 2019) — Two vehicles collided Tuesday afternoon on Highway 41 between Road 200 and Yosemite Springs Parkway.
The crash took place about 1 p.m. on Feb. 12. The crash took place after a 75-year-old man driving a Toyota Highlander pulled out of a driveway at Bible Story Land into traffic as he turned north onto Highway 41.
The Highlander pulled into the path of a Mercury Sable driven by a 55-year-old Oakhurst woman who was traveling southbound on Highway 41.
The driver in the Mercury saw the Toyota and tried to brake. The vehicle veered to the left to avoid the collision, but her vehicle struck the Toyota and both vehicles ended up coming to rest on the highway. The man driving the Highlander and his wife were transported to Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno after complaining of pain after the crash.
The driver in the Mercury suffering neck, chest, and abdomen pain and was taken to Kaiser in Fresno.
The crash remains under investigation to determine liability.
