Motorcycle on Fire after Colliding with Vehicle
COARSEGOLD, California (August 2, 2016) – A major injury collision took place in the area of Road 415 and Highway 41 on Tuesday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when a motorcyclist and a silver 2-door vehicle collided at 5:24 p.m. The motorcycle then caught fire following the crash.
As per the report log, fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to at least one person who was confirmed to have been seriously hurt in the accident. The victim was transported to the hospital for further medical aid and evaluation.
The name and the condition of the patient remained unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, the roadway was cleared as of 6:16 p.m.
Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the wreck.
