Cody Crawford Killed in Tracy Hit-and-Run Crash on Larch Road
TRACY, CA (January 11, 2022) – Cody Crawford was killed after a hit-and-run crash on Larch Road in Tracy last year.
Police identified the Oregon man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on November 28.
The incident happened when Cody Crawford was walking on Larch Road in Tracy. Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him.
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene, just west of Tracy Boulevard. They found the pedestrian down on the north side of the road.
Cody Crawford sustained severe head and leg injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon rushed him to a hospital and listed him in critical condition.
Pedestrian Hit by Car
Police confirmed that the victim died on January 8. The Tracy Press and ABC 10 News wrote that the accident occurred at about 2:10 a.m.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. Witnesses classified the car as a black Nissan SUV, possibly a Pathfinder.
The vehicle possibly obtained front-end damage to the hood and bumper, one or both headlights and the windshield damaged and broken.
The reports described the motorist as a white man with brown hair, longer in the back, wearing a beard. Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Cody Crawford in the roadway.
