1 Injured in Colfax Head-On Crash Near Highway 174 and White Oak Drive
COLFAX, CA (May 18, 2021) – A head-on crash near Highway 174 and White Oak Drive injured at least one person in Colfax.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:48 p.m.
CHP said a convertible coupe and an SUV collided head-on for an unknown reason in Colfax. The two crashed on Highway 174, just north of White Oak Drive.
Car Collision Near Bear River Historic Bridge
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Bear River Historic Bridge. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a portion of Highway 174 to shut down following the collision. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Colfax crash.
