Fatal Rear-End Collision on Silverado Trail
Napa County, CA (October 26, 2022) – Colin Albert Erickson, an 83-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Silverado Trail.
On October 12, two vehicles collided in the 7800 block of Silverado; just north of Napa. According to an article published online by the Napa Valley Register News, Erickson was behind the wheel of a Ford Ranger. Our sources indicated the motorist driving in front of the Ford slowed down in preparation for making a turn into a driveway. For reasons still unclear, Erickson was not able to decrease his speed; and ended up hitting the back of the box truck.
Deadly Traffic Accident in Napa County
Emergency crews later arrived at the crash site and found both vehicles with significant damage. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the driver of the Ford. Sadly, the man succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. The Napa County authorities identified the deceased as Colin Albert Erickson.
Meanwhile, the driver and passenger in the box truck both appeared unharmed after the collision.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
