1 Killed, 2 Hospitalized After Freak Accident on Reche Road Friday
Landers, CA (May 22, 2021) – On May 21, Friday, Colleen Coleman and Darren Coleman suffered injuries following a car crash on Reche Road in Landers.
According to an article published online by Z107.7 FM, the catastrophic incident took place west of Border Avenue. Primary reports indicated a 56-year-old man was standing outside a 2004 Dodge truck that had broken down in the eastbound side of Reche Road.
The collision happened when the driver of a passing 2021 white Nissan Kicks failed to avoid the disabled car; and hit the left side of the Dodge. Authorities identified the driver of the Nissan as 61-year-old Darren Coleman, of Twentynine Palms.
Officials said the crash left the driver of the Dodge pinned between the two vehicles. Responding paramedics sadly pronounced the 56-year-old man dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, Darren Coleman and his two passengers all sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel rushed them to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Additional details on the fatal car crash in Landers remained undisclosed. Further investigation on the case is underway.
