Colton Byrd, 29, Killed in Palm Desert Crash at Washington and Tucson
PALM DESERT, CA (August 19, 2022) – Colton Byrd was killed after a motorcycle crash at Washington Street and Tucson Circle in Palm Desert.
Loved ones identified the 29-year-old man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Monday morning.
The incident happened when Colton Byrd was riding a 2022 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Washington Street in Palm Desert.
He was traveling near Tucson Circle at a moderate rate of speed at the time. A 2015 Jeep Cherokee approached and then pulled into the intersection.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
The rider ended up ejected from his motorcycle as a result of the collision. Deputies said he landed in the intersection.
Colton Byrd died at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, paramedics took the driver of the Jeep to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Friends set up a GoFundMe page to help cover the funeral costs of the victim. The cause of the Palm Desert crash is still under investigation.
