COLTON, California (July 20, 2015) — A Caltrans construction worker was struck by a white box truck that crashed through a road closure, spun out and landed in the center driver of the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway at 9th Street, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported about 11:52 a.m.between Pepper and Rancho avenues. Paramedics responded to the scene to help the injured worker and possibly the driver who may have been hurt in the crash. The Caltrnas truck that was hit was leaking about 35 gallons of gasoline after the crash that required cleanup.
An investigation is underway into what led to the crash.
