Colton Car Accident I-10 Freeway, 9th Street

COLTON, Calif. (Dec. 8, 2022) — A multi-vehicle car accident in Colton happened Thursday morning on the Interstate 10 Freeway at 9th Street.

The collision occurred on the westbound I-10 Freeway about 6:41 a.m. on Dec. 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a gray Honda Accord and a white Nissan pickup truck are involved in the wreck, the report said.

It’s unknown exactly what led up to the collision, but one person told 911 operators that the pickup truck went off the roadway near the 9th Street off ramp. One witness stated the pickup was exiting the freeway when it collided with the car, causing it to lose control.

Paramedics responded to help anyone hurt in the crash, but there are no specific details.
