1 Badly Injured in Colton Crash on Southbound 215 Freeway Near Washington
COLTON, CA (August 28, 2021) – At least one was badly injured after a car crash on the 215 Freeway near Washington Street in Colton.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck on August 27 shortly after 8 a.m.
CHP said a white Honda Accord, a white pickup truck and a third vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Colton. They crashed on the southbound 215 Freeway, just north of Washington Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Cooley Ranch neighborhood. They found one person who sustained moderate injuries to their nose as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of the 215 Freeway near Washington to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Colton crash.
