1 Killed, 2 Hospitalized After Traffic Collision on South Cooley Drive Sunday
Colton, CA (April 11, 2021) – One person died, and two others suffered injuries following a solo-car crash on South Cooley Drive in Colton, the Daily Bulletin News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling south on Cooley Drive around 2:25 p.m. For reasons still unclear, the driver allowed the car to leave the roadway and eventually crossed over a raised center median.
Subsequently, the vehicle struck an electrical pole in the 900 block of Cooley Drive in Colton. The car multiple occupants came to a rest in the northbound side of the roadway.

The article published online indicated Colton Fire Department and paramedics arrived at the crash site. First responders reportedly found as many as three people involved in the collision. Due to the conditions of the victims, an ambulance rushed all three to a local hospital.
Officials later sadly pronounced a girl succumbed to her injuries and died at the hospital. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the names of the other two parties injured in the accident have not been revealed thus far.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal car crash in Colton happened.
