Colton: Fatal Crash on Interstate 10

At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near 215 Freeway

Colton, CA (April 22, 2023) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 10, also known as San Bernardino Freeway.

The California Highway Patrol group reported multiple vehicles collided in the westbound side of I-10 near the Interstate 215 Freeway in Colton. Following the crash, a male party was found lying in the middle of the roadway. It remained unclear whether the victim was a passenger ejected, or was a pedestrian hit during the traffic accident.

CHP logged the case on April 21, Friday, around 11:41 p.m.

Deadly Car Accident in Colton

When rescue teams arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the person down on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.

Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. Detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly crash on Interstate 10 in Colton.
