1 Injured Colton Hit-and-Run Crash on 215 Freeway Near Iowa Avenue
COLTON, CA (October 8, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 215 Freeway near Iowa Avenue in Colton.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 6:16 p.m.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Colton. They crashed on the southbound 215 Freeway near the Iowa Avenue off-ramp.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Two of the cars involved, a gray Honda Odyssey and a white Chevrolet Silverado, pulled over on the on-ramp as a result of the collision. The driver of third vehicle did not stop and fled the area.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near La Cadena Drive. They found one person left wounded upon impact.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The report did not disclose the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound side of the 215 Freeway near Iowa to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Colton hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
