Woman Hurt in 10 Freeway Car Accident
COLTON (August 11, 2017) – A woman was injured in a suspected hit-and-run crash along the 10 Freeway on Wednesday afternoon, according to Victor Valley News.
The accident took place at around 3:00 p.m. near Pepper Avenue.
A video captured by a Good Samaritan showed that a car, described as a 2013-2015 Infinity g37, was traveling at a high-rate of speed and was seen attempting to squeeze between a tractor-trailer and a BMW.
The speeding vehicle then sideswiped the BMW, which hit a green Mazda on the freeway. The impact caused the BMW to drive under the tractor-trailer.

California Highway Patrol said the BMW was dragged for several yards before the truck came to a stop. Both the Infiniti and the Mazda fled the scene.
The woman in the BMW sustained scrapes and bruises following the wreck.
As per The Press Enterprise, CHP affirmed that the Infiniti had been reported stolen. It was recovered Friday morning in San Bernardino, however, the driver has not been yet located.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the CHP station at 909-383-4247.
Motorists are obligated to remain at the scene after being involved in a traffic accident. In this case, it is evident that the driver involved will be held fully responsible for causing the incident that injured an innocent woman. Regardless of their reasons, leaving the area following a crash is a serious crime and punishable by law, especially if the collision caused injuries to another individual.
Aside from fleeing, the motorist is accused of speeding and driving erratically at the time of the crash. Since there is a video that serves as an evidence of the suspect’s wrongdoing, the victim in this case will have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit against the at-fault party, seeking compensation for all the hospital bills, future medical needs, lost wages, property damage and other losses.
