Multi-Vehicle Crash in San Bernardino County on I-215 Freeway
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (August 20, 2021) — A Colton truck accident Friday morning left the big rig overturned on the Interstate 215 Freeway in San Bernardino County.
The collision happened about 8:25 a.m. on August 20th near Washington Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The big rig truck ended up on its side and blocked the HOV and Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes of the Riverside Freeway in the Cooley Ranch area, police said.

Meanwhile, the truck collided with a blue 2019 Toyota Corolla and one other vehicle. A witness told authorities a driver cut off the truck driver and caused the collision. However, it’s unknown if that driver stopped or was involved in the crash. Two witnesses stopped and spoke with investigators on scene.
Also, the truck driver may have been hurt in the Colton crash. Paramedics responded to the crash scene. The CHP report does not mention if anyone was taken to a hospital.
Police issued a SigAlert for roughly two hours due to the crash. Also, a heavy-duty tow truck responded to remove the semi-truck loaded with 36,000 pounds of boxes and miscellaneous items.
