COLTON, California (February 22, 2015) — A 72-year-old Montebello woman was killed early Sunday morning when a car she was a passenger in collided with two other drivers on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway at Mountain View, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The traffic accident was reported about 12:46 a.m. The woman was riding as a passenger in a 2001 Toyota sedan at the time of the crash. Paramedics responded and transported her to a nearby hospital, but she was pronounced dead at 1:44 a.m. this morning.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up an investigation into the crash to determine liability and will issue a report with their findings. Her name has not been released pending notification of her family.
