1 Killed, 3 Injured in Compton Crash on 710 Freeway Near Alondra Boulevard
COMPTON, CA (July 17, 2022) – A crash killed one person and injured several others on the 710 Freeway near Alondra Boulevard in Compton.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place early Sunday. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:50 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said at least four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Compton. They crashed on the northbound 710 Freeway, just north of Alondra Boulevard.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
A CHP dispatch described one of the cars as a white Subaru. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced one individual dead the scene.
A total of three people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the patients to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
The report added that a vehicle rolled over due to the impact of the collision. Meanwhile, officers forced the northbound lanes of the 710 Freeway to shut down near Alondra for hours following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Compton crash is still under investigation.
