Concepcion Garcia Oropeza, 35, Wanted in Injury Car Crash on US-101
Templeton, CA (May 5, 2021) – Police continue to locate 35-year-old Concepcion Garcia Oropeza in relation with a hit-and-run collision that occurred on State Route 101 in Templeton.
On May 4, Tuesday, Concepcion Oropeza was reportedly seen behind the wheel of a 1988 Honda Civic. The Atascadero man was traveling at a high rate of speed on US-101. The Paso Robles Daily News mentioned the driver of the Honda made unsafe lane changes as he drove north on the highway. Earlier reports indicated the Honda Civic was in the lefthand lane, and attempted to change lanes onto the right side. In the process, the driver lost control of his vehicle and veered onto the east asphalt shoulder. Subsequently, the driver of the Honda attempted to swerve back into the highway and ended up slamming into the back a white GMC Sierra.
Innocent Driver Badly Hurt in Templeton Car Accident, May 4
Shortly after 3:35 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and found the driver of GMC Sierra with moderate injuries. Additional details on the victim have not been revealed thus far.
Meanwhile, our sources confirmed the Concepcion Oropeza fled the scene before police arrived. Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to find the location of the hit-and-run suspect.
